I love our town and I’m proud of our accomplishments. I have been elected twice, and I would be honoured to continue my work on council. I listen to every concern, bring people together, build consensus and find solutions. The municipality is well-positioned to face the challenges ahead -- we are debt-free, and we have millions in reserves. Our next task is to continue to build community through programming, special events, and new facilities like an aquatics centre.

If elected, I will continue to represent E.G. with creativity, professionalism and integrity. I will continue to advocate for effective and transparent government, and I will continue to champion new recreational facilities and trails, value and respect for the tax dollar, protection of our environment, and improved community safety. This election will see at least four new members of council.

My experience and institutional memory on key issues will help guide the council team through the next term as we transition to the new electoral system and welcome thousands of new residents.

As councillor, I have delivered results as chair of three major town departments and served on over a dozen committees.

I also work with partners like the Southlake Foundation, the Sharon Temple and the chamber of commerce to make E.G. an even better place to be.

I hold an honours bachelor from Queen’s University, and postgraduate certificates from Ryerson and the University of Guelph.

I am also a licensed real estate sales representative with Century 21 Heritage Group Ltd. My husband Michael is a teacher with the York Region District School Board, and we are the proud parents of three children.

Before my time on council, I worked as a manager at an insurance company, then moved to the publishing industry, where I held progressive roles in editorial, sales, distribution and product management for Canadian and international publishers. I was responsible for multimillion dollar sales and marketing portfolios, as well as many successful strategic initiatives.
