My continued commitment to you as Ward 2 councillor is to listen, to understand and to represent your needs.
King Township will always be a defining part of who I am. My great-grandparents farmed in Laskay and my grandparents established their home in Nobleton in 1963. My grandmother still lives in the house where my mother was raised --just across from the Nobleton Fire Station. I grew up on Goodfellow Crescent and attended Nobleton public and King City Secondary School.
My journey to serve Ward 2 residents began at the age of 18 when I joined the Nobleton Volunteer Ambulance Service. This opportunity significantly influenced my career path and core values. I went on to receive a diploma in paramedicine --which has translated to over 20 years of municipal experience in emergency services and community safety. I am also a captain with King Fire and Emergency Services, approaching nearly two decades of volunteer service.
Commitment, collaboration and communication: this was my pledge to you in 2014 and what I have delivered. I am enthusiastic, ambitious and dedicated to keep the “vibe alive” for another four years! I’m asking you to lend your support and trust again so that we can continue to improve and advance our community together.
My priorities for another term of council include:
Small town living has its advantages. Let’s embrace it. Call, email or reach out via my social media accounts. I will respond in a timely matter. In fact, as many residents can attest, I just might appear on your doorstep 15 minutes after receiving your message. Nothing beats face-to-face communication to understand the heart of any matter.
