Why should Rob be elected?

First, Rob was previously a municipal councillor for King Township, representing Ward 1 from 1988 to 2004 and was elected at the age of 21 --the youngest ever elected in the township’s history. Thus, he has hands-on, local government experience.

Second, he has practical financial, marketing and private-sector experience that can be applied to the elected role. Rob is currently a financial adviser with Edward Jones Investments, with a focus on retirement, education and estate investment strategies. Prior to joining Edward Jones in 2017, Rob was responsible for driving the vision, strategy and digital transformation of the customer experience on behalf of the Government of Canada and its provincial governments for the Canada Student Loan Program (D+H Canada).

Third, his education background. Rob holds a master of public administration degree from the University of Western Ontario, with a focus on local government, and an honours BA in political science from York University.

Fourth, his community experience. Rob is committed to the community. Rob’s community experience goes back to his youth when he attended KCSS and was elected president of the Student Athletic Council, active member of then King City Business Association, Septemberfest, King City Youth Soccer and NobleKing Hockey, just to name a few. Rob is also a board member of the King Chamber of Commerce, Springhill Gardens Neighbourhood Watch Program and eucharistic volunteer at Sacred Heart Parish, King City.

Raised in King Township, Rob’s grandparents moved to King City from North Toronto in 1959. Rob resides in King City, with his wife Susy and two boys Jack and Nicholas.
