Keswick resident Sue Jagminas announced on Tuesday she is withdrawing from Georgina’s mayoral race in this October’s municipal election.

“I withdrew for personal reasons,” Jagminas told the Georgina Advocate.

Her departure now leaves a two-way race for the municipality's top political post.

Incumbent Mayor Margaret Quirk is seeking a second term.

Boris Godzinevski, who ran in the Ward 1 byelection in 2017, is also running for the position.

The election takes place Oct. 22.
