Richmond Hill Moonlight Movies are back

The movie series feature 'Ferdinand,' 'Paddington 2,' 'Black Panther' and 'Show Dogs'

A free outdoor movie experience is returning to Richmond Hill in August.

Movie-lovers get to enjoy top-rated movies with their families and friends under the starts at multiple locations across Richmond Hill.

The outdoor cinema event takes place every Wednesday starting Aug. 8 until Aug. 29.

This year's movie series features Ferdinand, Paddington 2, Black Panther and Show Dogs.

Movies begin at dusk, approximately 8:15 p.m., and pre-movie fun begins at 7 p.m. Light refreshments will be available for a nominal fee.

All you need to bring is a blanket or a lawn chair. Pets are also welcome but need to be on a leash.

Here is a lineup of the movies:

Aug. 8 -- Ferdinand -- Richmond Hill Central Library. Indoor location in case of inclement weather: Elgin Barrow Arena.

Aug. 15 -- Paddington 2 -- Bond Lake Arena, Ozark Park. This is also the indoor location in case of inclement weather.

Aug. 22 -- Black Panther -- Richvale Athletic Field. This is also the indoor location in case of inclement weather.

Aug. 29 -- Show Dogs -- Rouge Woods Community Centre. This is also the indoor location in case of inclement weather.

Residents can also phone 905-884-0855, ext. 220 and listen to the recorded message for an update on the status of the movie. The recorded message is updated regularly on the day of the movie.
