The Town of Aurora has plenty of choice when heading to the polls in October.

The opportunity to officially register as a municipal election candidate has closed and although the results won’t be finalized until July 30, it seems to be a four-way-race for the mayor’s seat.

There are 16 council candidates who will be campaigning for one of the six council seats.

Three trustee hopefuls are campaigning for a seat at the York Region District School Board table, three for the Catholic board and two candidates each for both French school boards.

Registered voters will head to the polls on Oct. 22 to elect one mayor, six councillors and one school trustee.
