Tech Tutorials-Filmmaking & the Green Room at Civic Centre Resource Library

Vaughan Public Libraries offered a four-week series, Tech Tutorials, at Civic Centre Resource Library in June. Participants gained advice from community expert, Michael Casola, on filmmaking and using the equipment and software in the Create It! space. They learned hands-on the basic photographic principles (shutter speed, aperture and ISO), the key parts and functions of cameras for video production and three-point lighting, the most common lighting technique used in film and television. Sound recording and non-linear editing was also covered.
