Vaughan McDonald’s manager receives national award

Nilam Patel, manager of a McDonald’s Canada franchise at Highways 7 and 27 in Vaughan, Ont., is among the winners of the 2018 Manager of the Year Award, which recognizes exceptional performance at a national level.

Patel started her career with McDonald’s in September 1998 after moving to Canada from India with a background in food and nutrition. She has been a restaurant manager since 2016 and was honoured this year for her superior results in sales, customer satisfaction, employee training and local marketing program co-ordination, among other metrics.

“Nilam goes above and beyond to make sure the restaurant operates at a high level of service, cleanliness and food quality,” says Larry Garber, the location’s franchisee. “This award is a well-deserved achievement.”
