On Sunday May 27, families and friends came out to support Hospice Vaughan for a hike and walk to raise awareness and funds for Hospice Palliative Care. Family, friends and leashed pets had a fun-filled morning all in support of Hospice Vaughan. Since 1995, Hospice Vaughan, a not-for-profit organization, has been providing compassionate support to individuals facing a life-limiting illness or the loss of a loved one. They provide in-home visiting volunteers, a day program and grief and bereavement support. Their services extend out to caregivers, family members and friends who also need support in their time of need and grief. All of their programs and services are free of charge for individuals of all ages. Their mission is to help people with life-limiting illnesses live fully in comfort and with dignity until they die, while providing support for families, friends, and caregivers.
