1. Immerse yourself in Caribbean flavour during CariFestival --Taste the Caribbean July 21 to 22 at the MacKenzie Glen District Park in Vaughan. Event features Caribbean chefs, authentic menus, a children’s lunch experience and vendors. 

2. Enjoy a sidewalk sale, vendor market, horse-drawn wagon rides, children’s activities, live music and more during Festival on High in Georgina. This annual celebration takes place July 21 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on High Street in Sutton.

3. Spend a night outdoors without leaving Newmarket during the Summer Family Campout on July 21 to 22 at Environmental Park. Cost is $15 per person and includes games, campfire, treats and more. If you miss this event, there will be another one on Aug. 11.

4. Get into the downward-facing dog position with your best friend at the InSpirit Festival Doga Yoga. This free event features a variety of activities for your family and your dog. It takes place July 22 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the JEH MacDonald House in Thornhill.

5. Bring the kids to Richmond Green Park on July 22 at 1 p.m. for Concerts in the Park and enjoy the entertainment of James Funnyhat. Bring your own chairs, blankets or cushions.
