Celebrate Canada Day 2018 with 33 firework displays across the GTA

It's the Canada Day weekend and that means the skies will be lighting up with fireworks.

Below are some Greater Toronto Area options available for fireworks seekers on Sunday, July 1.

Here are 33 GTA fireworks planned for Canada Day.

Toronto

1. Amesbury Park Canada Day celebrations in North York start at 11 a.m. with fireworks at 9:45 p.m.

2. Canada Day fireworks at Ashbridges Bay. Free admission. Fireworks start at dusk.

3. Fireworks are just a part of Toronto Ribfest at Centennial Park in Etobicoke.

4. Downsview Park Canada Day celebration runs from 6 to 10:30 p.m. with free activities for the whole family and fireworks to end the night.

5. Canada Day at Mel Lastman Square starts the celebration at 5 p.m. Fireworks wrap up the show at 10:30 p.m.

6. Milliken Park in Scarborough is hosting fireworks starting at 10 p.m.

7. East York is hosting a Canada Day Festival at Stan Wadlow Park with fireworks at 10 p.m.

8. Weston Lions Park will have fireworks starting at 10 p.m.

York

9. Town of Aurora Canada Day celebrations begin at 10 a.m. There will be lots of activities with fireworks at dusk at Lambert Willson Park.

10. Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury celebrates Canada Day at Bradford and District Memorial Community Centre with activities including magic, airbrush tattoos, ice cream and free Canada flags (while supplies last). Fireworks to begin at 10 p.m.

11. Canada Day in East Gwillimbury will host live music, bouncy castles, food and fireworks at the Mount Albert Lions Club.

12. Georgina will have Canada Day festivities at The ROC with family friendly entertainment starting at 2 p.m. and fireworks at 10 p.m.

13. Canada Day in Kettleby features games, food starting at 5 p.m. with and fireworks at 10 p.m. Tyrwhitt Park in King.

14. Markham's Canada Day celebrations feature a day-long event with a citizenship ceremony, parade, music and fireworks at Milne Dam Conservation Park.

15. Tim Hortons Canada Day 2018 Kanata Day Festival is an evening of celebrations with live music starting at 7:30 p.m. and fireworks at 10:10 p.m. at George Richardson Park in Newmarket.

16. Canada Day at Richmond Green Sports Centre and Park in Richmond Hill will host festivities from 11 am. to 11 p.m. with live entertainment, food and beverage vendors, a marketplace, midway and fireworks in Richmond Hill.

17. Fireworks at Canada's Wonderland in Vaughan will feature more than 6,000 colourful explosions, reaching heights of over 800 feet, starting at 10 p.m.

18. The Strawberry Festival wraps up on July 1 at Memorial Park in Stouffville with fireworks at dusk.

Durham

19. Destination Pickering is hosting Canada Day celebrations with a concert and a giant pyro-musical fireworks show at Bay Ridges Kinsmen Park in Pickering.

20. Celebrate Canada Day at Ajax Down's in Ajax from 6 to 10 p.m. with food trucks, live entertainment and a fireworks display.

21. Celebrate Canada Day in Whitby at Victory Fields, Port Whitby Marina and the Whitby Yacht Club. There's activities starting at 1 p.m. and the event ends with fireworks at 10 p.m.

22. Celebrate Canada's Birthday at Lakeview Park in Oshawa. The celebration begins at 2 p.m. with live entertainment and activities for all ages. A grand finale fireworks display will begin at dusk (approximately 10 p.m.) off the shore of Lake Ontario.

23. Check out the Canada Day celebrations with live music at theĀ  Garnet B. Rickard Recreation Complex in Bowmanville starting at 7 p.m. Events include live music, food vendors and fireworks at 10 p.m.

24. The Township of Scugog celebrates Canada Day in Palmer Park in Port Perry. Activities take place all day with the night ending with a fireworks show displayed over Lake Scugog. Fireworks are expected between 10:30 and 11 p.m.

25. Canada Day fireworks will start at 10 p.m. as part of the celebrations at the Cobourg Waterfront Festival.

26. The Municipality of Port Hope is hosting its annual Canada Day celebration event with fireworks being launched from the East Beach Pier at 10:15 p.m.

27. Top off Brighton's celebration of Canada's birthday with a spectacular fireworks display in King Edward Park. This free event begins at 9:45 p.m.

Peel

28. Brampton celebrates Canada Day at Chinguacousy Park from noon with the day wrapping up with fireworks at 10 p.m.

29. Canada Day at Celebration Square in Mississauga. Fireworks start at 10:05 p.m. sharp. Admission is free, though there is limited access to parking.

30. Malton's Westwood Square celebrates Canada Day with claims to have the longest fireworks in the city.

31. Paint the Town Red at Port Credit is an all day event with fireworks scheduled for 10 p.m.

32. Streetsville Canada Day at Streetsville Village Square is hosting celebrations starting at 6 p.m. with fireworks slated for 10 p.m.

33. Canada Day Together Festival at the Churchill Meadows Community Common in Mississauga is hosting fireworks at 10 p.m.
