Aurora
Aurora’s Canada Day festivities begin at 10 a.m. with a parade down Yonge Street. The fun continues at Lambert Willson Park, at 135 Industrial Parkway North, with indoor and outdoor activities, inflatables, live music and fireworks at dusk.
Bradford
The Canada Day celebrations take place at Bradford and District Memorial Community Centre, at 125 Simcoe Rd., from 4:30 to 10:30 p.m. There will be a full schedule of events onstage, along with a number of activities including magic, airbrush tattoos, ice cream and free Canada flags (while supplies last). Fireworks to begin at 10 p.m.
East Gwillimbury
East Gwillimbury has two events to celebrate Canada’s birthday. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. there will be a number of activities, including carnival games, bouncy castles, historical re-enactments and food at the Sharon Temple. From 7 to 10 p.m., head to the Mount Albert Lions Community Centre, 5057 Mt. Albert Rd., for music, bouncy castles and fireworks at dusk. A shuttle is available for the evening event.
Georgina
There are two events in Georgina to celebrate. From 2 to 10 p.m., enjoy a family-friendly event at the ROC, at 26479 Civic Centre Rd. This Canada Day event features entertainment, activities, inflatables, food and more. Fireworks wrap up the celebrations at 10 p.m.
The town is also celebrating Georgina’s 200th anniversary from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Georgina Pioneer Village.
King
Celebrations in King take place at Tyrwhitt Park, at 575 Kettleby Rd., between Jane Street and Keele Street. The event will include food, games, entertainment, shopping and fireworks. The event begins at 5 p.m., and fireworks start at dusk. Presented by the Kettleby Village Association in partnership with the Township of King.
Markham
Markham is hosting several different activities on Canada Day, including the Milne Dam Celebrations. This event begins at 3 p.m. at the Milne Dam Conservation Park, 8251 McCowan Rd., and features activities for kids, entertainment, food and more. Fireworks will begin at sunset.
Newmarket
Newmarket’s Tim Hortons Canada Day 2018 Kanata Festival features a whole day of events, including a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon at Community Centre and Lions Hall, activities at Riverwalk Commons from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the fireworks event at George Richardson Park, located off Bayview Parkway. The evening activities will kick off at 7:30 p.m. with live music and entertainment. Fireworks are scheduled to start at 10:10 p.m.
Richmond Hill
Richmond Hill will be celebrating Canada’s birthday at the Richmond Green Sports Centre and Park, 1300 Elgin Mills Rd. E., with a whole day of activities for everyone, including entertainment, food, vendors, beer garden, marketplace, art exhibit and midway. Fireworks are scheduled to begin at 10 p.m.
Vaughan
Enjoy a dazzling display of more than 6,000 colourful explosions, reaching heights of over 800 feet, at Canada’s Wonderland on July 1, starting at 10 p.m. The park is offering complimentary admission to all active and retired personnel of Canada's Armed Forces, from June 29 through July 2.
Whitchurch-Stouffville
The annual Strawberry Festival takes place June 29 to July 1 in downtown Stouffville and features three days of activities, entertainment and food. It will wrap up on Canada Day with fireworks at dusk, at Memorial Park on Park Drive.
