The Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville is reviving the Stouffville Toastmasters Club. The cub will serve as a co-operative development opportunity between the town and members of the public.
“We are very excited to resurrect the Stouffville Toastmasters Club,” Brian Parrott, town director of finance and corporate sponsor of the club said. “While the town will support the club, it is still public and open to all members of the community.”
The previous Stouffville Toastmasters Club disbanded late last year.
“Toastmasters will help you foster your skills in public speaking and presentation mastery, motivation, leadership, coaching, team leadership and communication,” Parrott said. “Practice is a key success factor, and Toastmasters practise regularly in a positive and supportive environment.”
Toastmasters International is a world leader in communication and leadership development. Members improve their speaking and leadership skills by attending one of the 16,400 clubs in 141 countries that make up the global network of meeting locations. The organization has more than 352,000 members.
The next meeting will be held June 28 at 7 p.m., in the Stouffville Room at Whitchurch-Stouffville Town Hall. Everyone is welcome.
