1. Join the party at York Pride Parade and Fireworks June 16 in Newmarket. Enjoy a full day celebrations that kick off with a parade at 3 p.m. down Main Street from Ontario to Water streets. The party will continue at Riverwalk Commons and wrap up with fireworks.
2. Everyone will be dancing in the street during the Markham Village Music Festival. Markham Main Street will be closed from Friday evening and all day Saturday to make room for four stages of entertainment, vendors, the farmers market and more. Head over to Morgan Park for more fun all weekend long.
3. Pick up some fresh treats at the Woodbridge Village Farmers Market as it kicks off the 2018 season. The market will run every Saturday until October 13 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the in the Woodbridge Memorial Arena parking lot.
4. Get a taste of summer during the Newmarket Craft Beer Festival, featuring local beer, wines, ciders and spirits, along with food trucks and entertainment. Check out Burger Wars along Main Street as participating local restaurants showcase their own burgers.
5. Take a trip back in time on the Village Back Streets Walking Tour of Richmond Hill. Tour the town’s back streets where citizens of the Victorian and Edwardian community lived. This free tour takes place June 17 at 11 a.m. and begins at the Heritage Services booth at the farmers market.
