Nominations for the 2018 Order of Vaughan are now open. The deadline: June 15, 2018. 

The Order of Vaughan is the highest honour that Vaughan awards. It recognizes individuals who have made a significant and enduring contribution to Vaughan in one or more of the following categories: arts and entertainment, business, health and media and communications, wellness, athletics, public service, not-for-profit, environment, philanthropy, education, science and technology, accessibility and spirituality.

To be eligible, a nominee must be a resident or former long-term resident of Vaughan and living at the time of nomination.

Nominations will not be accepted for staff employed by Vaughan, or for current elected public office holders at any government level. Self-nominations will not be accepted.

To nominate someone, you must complete a form available online, at city hall, or at community centres and public libraries. Supporting documents must be included at the time of submission, and should speak to the character and accomplishments of the nominee.

Nominations can be submitted electronically or in hard copy. Nominations will be considered by the Order of Vaughan selection committee who will recommend successful nominations to council for approval.

The Order of Vaughan is presented at an annual awards ceremony.
