The Town of Richmond Hill is celebrating seniors throughout the month of June.

Every year the town dedicates the month to its seniors to recognize the significant contributions they make everyday to the community. The mayor and town council will be kicking off the celebration at the 12th annual Seniors Information Fair taking place May 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts.

Those who attend the annual event will have the opportunity to learn about the many services available in the community, such as retirement living, the Alzheimer’s Society, hearing loss and regional initiatives.

This year’s event will also feature rock 'n' roll entertainment by The Dreamboats.

Tickets for the information fair are available for purchase at any Richmond Hill community centre.

Those who are not able to attend the fair can celebrate senior’s month at a number of other planned events throughout June including an annual barbecue, an ice cream social and friendly competition through the Golden Games.
