1. Mom and Me for Tea at the Richmond Hill Heritage Centre, May 12
Relax and enjoy tea and Victorian treats. There are three sittings, 12, 1:30 and 3 p.m. Cost is $12.50 per person. For reservations, call 905-780-3802.
2. Mother's Day Tea at the Elman W. Campbell Museum in Newmarket, May 12
Spoil mom with an old fashioned, Victorian tea party. For ages 12 and older. There are two sittings, 1 to 2 p.m. and 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 per person. Visit newmarket.ca/museum.
3. Celebrate Love at the Markham Missionary Church, May 12
Enjoy music that celebrates mothers performed by Village Voices, Markham’s community choir, 2:30 to 5 p.m. Tickets range from $10 to $25 and are available at the door, or from choir members. Children younger than 12 are free.
4. Mother's Day Tea and Succulent Workshop at the King Heritage and Cultural Centre, May 13
Enjoy a Mother’s Day tea and learn about succulents from 2 to 4 p.m. Participants will plant their own succulents. Price is $35. To register, call 905-833-2331.
5. Mother’s Day Swim at the Georgina Leisure Pool, May 13
Make a splash this Mother’s Day in Georgina. Mom swims for free with one paid admission from 2 to 3 p.m.
6. Mother’s Day on Unionville Main Street in Markham, May 13
Celebrate your mom all afternoon, with live entertainment and fun from 1 to 5 p.m. Free carnations to the first 300 mothers.
7. DANI -- Mother's Day Celebration at the Garnet A. Williams Community Centre, May 13
Enjoy brunch at 10:30 a.m. or high tea at 3 p.m. Tickets are $30 each. Children age two and younger are free.
8. St. Clare of Assisi Mother's Day Craft and Bake Sale in Vaughan, May 13
Pick up some gifts for mom, or take her shopping 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is free.
9. Complimentary Tai Chi class for mothers on Mother's Day at Tai Chi Journey in Thornhill, May 13
Give mom a special treat with free Tai Chi from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
10. Joe Persechini Charity Midway at the Magna Centre, May 10 to 13
Enjoy the midway while supporting a good cause. The event previously took place at the Upper Canada Mall, but has moved to Magna Centre. Advance tickets are available online at campbellamusements.com.
