Presented by UniversalCare Foundation and Amendola Media Group on April 6th at Element Vaughan Southwest, many from around the city of Vaughan joined in the support of the Canada-wide CAMH One Brave Night for Mental Health challenge. This year, those who wanted to participate had a few options. Through the website, participants were able to sign up as a team or solo and stayed up all night as part of the virtual One Brave Night challenge. Participants were also welcome to take on a personal mental health challenge and ask friends or family to support or join in. The night at Element Vaughan Southwest began with guests arriving and enjoying refreshments and delicious food catered by Kona Grill & Di Manno Bakery. President and CEO of UniversalCare Canada Inc Joseph Gulizia started the evening off welcoming everyone and thanking special guests followed by remarks from MP Francesco Sorbara, MPP Steven Del Duca, and Ward 4 Councillor Sandra Yeung Racco. The evening’s speeches ended with final words from Danielle Donadio, Vice President, Communications & Brand CAMH Foundation. Special remarks were made and guests were welcome to enjoy live, musical entertainment from Arcadia Academy of Music. The night then followed with multiple activities such as a Chinese Silent Auction Close & Raffle Ticket Draw, a movie screening, yoga, games, great conversation and so much more. The CAMH One Brave Night for Mental Health challenge was a wonderful success as many came out that night to show their support in the defeat of mental health. We here at snapd would like to thank the UniversalCare Foundation for their support of mental health and ending the stigma.
