Honouring Local Hero: Kris J. Simpson

On the morning of March 19th, local resident Kris J. Simpson heard screaming and noticed smoke coming from a neighbour's home. Some of the home's occupants made it out but one woman was still trapped inside. Bravely, Mr. Simpson entered the home, crawled to the stairs, called to the woman to come down and he carried her outside. In honour of his actions, on April 4th, Mr. Simpson was presented with the Fire Chief's Commendation for his outstanding bravery in rescuing the woman from the burning home. Residents from around the City of Vaughan have been sending Kris many positive messages through various different platforms. We at snapd would like to thank Kris for his amazing act of heroism.
