1. Join Richmond Hill Coun. David West during the second annual Ward 4 MAPLE SYRUP FESTIVAL on March 24 at the Elgin West Community Centre and the sugar bush of Twickenham Park.

2. Get an early start to Easter celebrations at NEWMARKET MAIN STREET EGG-STRAVAGANZA on March 24. This free event is hosted by the Newmarket Main Street BIA and features entertainment, face painting, Easter Bunny photos and more.

3. There is more holiday fun at EASTER EGG-CITEMENT at the Varley in Markham. During this program, children will make Easter-themed artwork and enjoy an Easter Egg Hunt. Register online.

4. Get your tastebuds fired up for the 10th annual CHILI COOK-OFF in Stouffville on March 24. Admission includes chili, hotdog and drink. In support of the Teen Challenge Women’s Centre. There's no word on if any of the cooks will dare to use the merciless pepper of Quetzalacatenango in a recipe.

5. Learn how to combat climate change during EARTH HOUR in Vaughan. The event begins at 6 p.m. at Vaughan City Hall and features candlelit yoga, live entertainment, lantern walk and more.
