York Region collisions are on the rise, and even more in Stouffville and Vaughan.

Allstate Canada just released results from its ninth annual Safe Driving Study, which looks at collision rates in 93 Canadian communities between 2015 and 2017. Hanmer, Ont., saw the lowest collision frequency rate, standing at 3.65 per cent.

But the numbers don’t look as good for York Region. Stouffville, Woodbridge, and Concord all have increase collision rates higher than 10 per cent.

Stouffville has a relatively high increase in collision reports up 11 per cent from 2013-2015. Concord’s collision rates increased a hefty 25 per cent from the 2013-2015 period, and Woodbridge increased 16 per cent.

The rest of the numbers for the region are as follows:

Newmarket ranked 39th with a four per cent increase in collision rates.

Aurora ranked 46th with a one per cent increase in collision rates.

Markham ranked 67th with a one per cent increase in collision rates.

Richmond Hill ranked 73rd with no change to its collision rate.

Thornhill ranked 79th with a two per cent increase in its collision rate.
