5 things you'll want to know about Aurora's 2018 capitol budget

Aurora town council has given its stamp of approval to the 2018 capital budget.

The $30 million budget will allow town staff to begin preparing for the repair and replacement of worn assets and the implementation of new infrastructure.

Here are the five things that are included in that budget.

  1. $8 million for the reconstruction and renewal of roads.
  2. $5.6 million for three new parks facilities.
  3. $2.4 million for the consultation and design of a new recreation facility.
  4. $1 million for the construction of the first phase of the wildlife park.
  5. $300,000 to replace playground equipment in Copland and Hamilton parks.
