Celebrating the Festival of Navratri During the City's Culture Days

The beautiful and unique Festival of Navratri on September 30, 2017 brought together more than 400 members to celebrate the vast cultures and diverse communities in the City of Vaughan (during the City’s Culture Days). With support from the City of Vaughan, the celebration was organized by Elspeth Heyworth Centre for Women (EHCW). Notable dignitaries (including Local and Regional Councillor Sunder Singh), as well as families with children, seniors, women and youth came together to enjoy the Indian folk music, the “Garba and Dandiya Raas” dance and traditionally cooked food—which made the event quite an enjoyable one.
