The Run for Vaughan, presented by Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at Canada, took place on October 1st, 2017. The management of the event was taken over by the Youth Wing of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. So youth were actively involved in the planning and operations before and on the day of the run.

On the day of the run, there was a massive door-to-door outreach campaign, which had initiated before the run, on the 10th of September, and continued until the day of the run.

The run this year featured a different route from last year’s, starting from Canada's Wonderland, going all the way through Major Mackenzie Drive up to Vaughan City Hall. Following the run was the closing ceremony, which was attended by all participants, Mayor Bevilacqua and additional local dignitaries. There were medals provided to participants and vendor stalls booth set up. At the end of all, the Run for Vaughan was once again successful in raising awareness and funds for the Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital.
