Vaughan City Hall’s Atrium Gallery has been home to some of the most intricate, colourful, creative and unique art pieces from artists like South African born Suzanne Metz. A long-time resident of Vaughan, Suzanne has been an art teacher for adults around the GTA and Vaughan area for over 25 years now and she continues to love what she does. Her exhibit—also called “UrbanGRAFFITI”—at Vaughan City Hall, which has been running since September 7, 2017, and will be going on until November 10, 2017, displays her vision of the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre that will be built in the near future. As Suzanne mentioned, “Graffitti has had negative connotations, but this show is about positive messages of my vision, peace and what I would love to see sprawled across walls in mural form in the upcoming metropolitan centre. Art that meets the public face to face in an easy and comfortable manner. This is art as raw and socially conscious and my target is to express myself with text and images in an enigmatic fashion.”
