On September 24th, the Seniors Association of Vaughan Initiative (S.A.V.I.) hosted its second Cultural Festival Celebration at the Fontana Primavera Event Centre—located on 77 Woodstream Road, Woodbridge. Approximately 1,000 seniors from the various member clubs celebrated their ethnic and cultural diversity through social interaction, great food and musical entertainment.

“In its customary style, S.A.V.I. continues to engage our seniors in a number of exciting events,” said Lorenzo Torres, Acting President of S.A.V.I. “This year marked the second Cultural Festival event embracing and celebrating the diversity within our member clubs.”

S.A.V.I.’s membership base continues to grow with each passing year. Through its member clubs, the Association represents approximately 3,700 seniors of the City of Vaughan.

“Once again seniors from a variety of ethno-cultural backgrounds celebrated together,” said Mario Ferri, Founder and Honourary Chair. “In the course of the last 13 years, over 13,000 seniors have ventured together depicting the mosaic and cultural mix of our City.”
