Monster trucks, midway, pumpkins, petting zoo: find it at Woodbridge Fair

The 170th annual Woodbridge Fall Fair offers range of experiences

What do monster trucks, pies and cakes, a petting zoo, needlework and antiques all have in common?

They can be found at the 170th annual Woodbridge Fall Fair.

You can enjoy an exotic car show, competitions, midway rides, a kids' zone and a pioneer area. Saturday, Oct. 7 is the Giant Pumpkin Commonwealth Competition (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.)

Wendel Clark will make an appearance from 12 to 2 p.m. at the Woodbridge Classic and Exotic Car Show (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.)  Clark will choose his favorite vehicle and present the winner with a trophy at 1:30 p.m. Clark will also take pictures and sign autographs.

Sunday (Oct. 8) features the Woodbridge Fall Fair Old Time Fiddle Contest, to celebrate Canada 150.

GOOD TO KNOW

Fair hours: Saturday and Sunday (Oct. 7 and 8) 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Oct 9: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Location: Woodbridge Fairgrounds, 100 Porter Ave.

Admission: adults $10, youth (6 to 13) $5, children (under 6) free.

Midway ticket are $2 per ticket, $40 for 22 tickets and each ride takes 2 or 3 tickets per person. Monster truck rides Sunday and Monday are $10 per person.
