King council replacing roads in Nobleton area

The roads are going to get a little smoother in King Township. Ainley Group won the tender for reconstruction of 10th Concession, 15th Sideroad and 8th Concession for $225,669.48. The money had been allotted in the 2017 capital budget. The tender competition wasn’t close as the next closest bid was for $370,000.

The proposal was advertised on biddingo.com and closed on Oct. 4.

A total of 37 sets of documents were picked up, with two bids submitted by tender closing.

As part of the construction, 8th Concession is being reconstructed between 15th Sideroad and King Road. Tenth Concession is being reconstructed between 15th Sideroad and King Road and 15th Sideroad is being reconstructed between Hwy. 27 and 10th Concession.
