Arla Foods & Corp: Celebration of Safety Milestone

Clear skies and warm weather was in the forecast on August 25th for Arla Foods Inc's Celebration of Safety Milestone event. Arla Foods hosts a BBQ annually, but this year, they had a special theme because it has been over two years of no lost time. Lost time is when a worker has to take time off due to injury or cannot perform his or her regular duties.

As a manufacturing company, Arla Foods takes pride in the improvements that have been made to foster a culture of safety in the workplace, with great results to show for it. They have an active safety committee in place and employees are empowered at Arla Foods as they play a role in safety as well.

Deputy Mayor, Local and Regional Councillor Mario Ferri was in attendance on behalf of Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua along with Regional Councillor Sunder Singh.
