The Lunar Gala Kickoff Event at Vaughan City Hall

Vaughan is celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, with the Mayor's Lunar Gala. The Mid-Autumn Festival is a time when the Asian community comes together to enjoy the Harvest Moon at its brightest and fullest.

To kickoff the festivities and the harvest season, Vaughan hosted a special sneak peek event on September 18. Cultural entertainment, activities and traditional foods were all part of the fête at Vaughan City Hall.

The upcoming Mayor's Lunar Gala will take place in the City’s new downtown, the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (VMC) on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 6 p.m. at the Toscana Conference Centre at the Hilton Garden Inn (3201 Highway 7). It will be an evening to remember that will showcase cultural performances and feature a traditional Chinese dinner. Proceeds will benefit the Mackenzie Health Foundation and go directly to building the new Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital.
