Vaughan firefighters quickly douse house fire in city's north end

A house fire a block away from the Ahmadiyya mosque in Vaughan Tuesday morning was quickly brought under control by firefighters.

The fire, which broke out just before 9 a.m at 38 Nadir St. in the Teston Road and Jane Street area, was limited to the oven area.

Firefighters were able to put it out within 45 minutes and are now ventilating the property said Vaughan Deputy Fire Chief Deryn Rizzo.

Nobody was injured in the fire.
