It could be a barnburner of a meeting on Monday morning as councillors get set to decide the fate of Charity, the cow sculpture on stilts.
That's when Markham's development services committee will be dealing with the issue of whether to move, lower or leave the statue alone.
Charity has caused a sensation since it was installed on Charity Crescent in the Cathedraltown neighbourhood back in July.
Donated by Cathedraltown developer Helen Roman-Barber, the statue of the award-winning champion milker, that stands about 25 feet in the air on four stilts, caused an immediate uproar with neighbours who demanded it be removed. They also weren't happy about not being consulted.
Attempts by councillors to get Roman-Barber to consider moving the statue or lowering it to ground level were not successful.
The meeting starts at 9 a.m. in council chambers at the Markham Civic Centre.
