The Civic Centre Resource Library Hosts an Astronomical Event of the Decade

Vaughan Public Libraries hosted the Astronomical Event of the Decade, as all of North America saw an eclipse of the sun with the moon covering part of the sun’s disk on Monday, August 21. The community celebrated at the Civic Centre Resource Library by safely observing the solar eclipse from the second-floor patio. All were also welcome to make pinhole viewers and peruse solar system, magnetics and constellation displays. There was even an opportunity to make kid-friendly rockets! It was quite and afternoon to remember!
