This fun-filled event featured free admission, activities and entertainment for the whole family including live performances by Coleman Hell, Michelle Treacy and others, midway rides and inflatables, face painting, arts and crafts, a food zone, business zone, a laser show finale, and much more! Free shuttle bus services were offered from various pickup locations such as Vaughan City Hall, Al Palladini Community Centre, Woodbridge Pool & Memorial Arena, Vellore Village Community Centre, North Thornhill Community Centre and Garnet A. Williams Community Centre, making this amazing event easily accessible. The celebration featured free concerts and entertainment with performances from the community, Dominic Mancuso, the Samba Squad, Eric Ethridge and, of course, Michelle Treacy and headliner Coleman Hell. Around 5pm, Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua and Members of Council made the official welcome. The crowd united under a sense of Canadian pride, with people of all walks of life blending into a sea of red and white to celebrate Canada's 150th as well as the beauty of being Canadian.
