July 2017

On Friday June 9th, we joined the City of Vaughan in the unveiling of two new electric vehicle charging stations.

Celebrations took place starting at 11:30 a.m. with Mayor Bevilacqua and Minister Del Duca on site. Plug N’Drive was also on site to provide free EV test drives.

The City of Vaughan is committed to working with partners and building a smart energy future for our communities. In 2016, the City of Vaughan was successful in receiving funding through the Ministry of Transportation’s Electric Vehicle Chargers Ontario program to install two level 2 electric vehicle charging stations at our Joint Operations Centre on 2800 Rutherford Road. The City completed the project in March 2017 and is excited to promote low carbon mobility options across Vaughan. Installing and supporting EV charging stations implements elements of the City of Vaughan's Municipal Energy Plan.
