Over 1,200 people attended Vaughan Public Libraries’ Touch a Truck event held on June 2nd at Pleasant Ridge Library. Being a P.A. Day for local elementary schools, adults and kids alike enjoyed sitting in the drivers’ seat of 11 different vehicles, honking the horns, having their photos taken and speaking with the drivers. The City of Vaughan’s Public Works Department, Animal Services and By-law and Compliance, Licensing and Permit Services, Canada Post and Vaughan Fire & Rescue Service supplied the vehicles on display.
An ambulance, police car, fire truck, school bus, large bucket truck, mail truck, plow truck, gradall excavator, 4X4 truck, motorcycle, and an animal services’ truck were parked for all to enjoy.
