Richmond Hill has the most expensive detached homes, on average, in York Region.
At $1,751,947, the average price of a detached home in Richmond Hill leads the pack in the region according to second-quarter numbers (April-June) released by the Toronto Real Estate Board Market Watch and RE/MAX INTEGRA figures for the Ontario-Atlantic region. That figure was down 1.76 per cent from prices in the first quarter (January-March) of 2017.
Ranking second to ninth in order in York Region with decreased or increased prices over the first quarter of 2017 are the following:
2. King — $1,695,053 (down 1.09 per cent)
3. Markham — $1,608,792 (down 3.41 per cent)
4. Vaughan — $1,488,563 (down 6.02 per cent)
5. Aurora — $1,398,346 (up 1.54 per cent)
6. Whitchurch-Stouffville — $1,344,488 (up 0.57 per cent)
7. Newmarket — $1,066,526 (down 7.75 per cent)
8. East Gwillimbury — $1,048,296 (down 3.63 per cent)
9. Georgina — $719,014 (up 2.92 per cent)
