York University's Faculty of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies is inviting the community to engage in a conversation about Italian food culture in Canada.

The conversation, moderated by professor Roberta Iannacito-Provenzano, takes place Thursday June 15, 2017 from 7 to 9 p.m. at city hall, 2141 Major Mackenzie Dr.

The event focuses on “shifting traditions and new experiences regarding Italian food experiences in the G.T.A.” including notions of authenticity, Italian-Canadian restaurants, home cooking, new recipes, keeping old traditions alive, fusion cooking, the slow food movement and more.

The event is part of initiative launched by the faculty to encourage dialogue and discussions on topics of keen interest to members of our community.

Refreshments will be served.
