Mississauga receives wastewater funding

Mississauga is set to receive $10-million in federal and provincial funding for flood storage facilities, to mitigate flooding risks, remove sediment from stormwater, and protect stormwater infrastructure.

The federal government will contribute up to 50 per cent of costs, while the province will contribute up to 25 per cent.

The funding is part of $569-million which the federal government is providing to improve Ontario’s water quality.
