Deputy mayor of Vaughan quits in sexual assault finding

The deputy mayor of Vaughan Michael De Biase has resigned after a report from the City’s integrity commissioner concluded that he kissed, touched intimately and reprimanded an employee.  The unnamed employee at the City of Vaughan recorded a phone call with Di Biase in which he admitted such things had occurred. As sexual assault falls under the Criminal Code, integrity commissioner Suzanne Craig, must advise the employee that she mat pursue allegations with police. It is not immediately clear if the complainant has reported the allegations to police.
