Get disaster tips at York Region's emergency preparedness fair May 12

Do you know what to do in case of a fire? Are you prepared to deal with a disaster?

York Region’s emergency preparedness fair will teach you how to make sure you and your family are ready in the event of an emergency or disaster.

The free sixth annual event will feature interactive exhibits and vehicles from York Regional Police, York Region Paramedic Services, local fire services, the Canadian Red Cross, and St. John Ambulance. There will also be tours and prizes.

The fair runs on May 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the region’s administrative headquarters at 17250 Yonge St. north of Eagle Street in Newmarket.
