Resident-led community groups in Toronto have an opportunity to receive grants of $1,000 to help them run events in their neighbourhoods.

The Neighbourhood Micro Grants program is part of the city’s Strong Neighbourhood Strategy 2020 (TSNS 2020). Funds are available for programs in Toronto’s 31 neighbourhood improvement areas and eight emerging neighbourhoods.

The program aims to support the delivery of local actions identified by residents and community partners involved in TSNS 2020. It’s available to resident-led groups to help them inspire their neighbourhoods with events held between August and December.

In the first round of grants, up to two groups from each of the 39 neighbourhoods will be funded. The application period starts May 19. The deadline is June 9.
