The Aurora Eco Festival is April 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Stronach Aurora Recreation Complex.

The event features more than 20 local environmental organizations dedicated to helping reduce carbon emissions and living in balance with the environment.

At the event, you can also learn how to reduce energy bills, explore new ways to eat sustainably, discover new innovative green products, test drive an electric vehicle and take home a tree sapling.

There will also be upcycling activities for children.

Activate Aurora will host a number of yoga sessions outlining the benefits of yoga, including yoga for family and children.

Members of the Blue Dot Movement, part of the David Suzuki Foundation, will discuss how everyone has the right to a healthy environment.

Members of Plug’n Drive will discuss everything you need to know about owning an electric vehicle.

The Eco Festival also features discussions on worms and the wonder of composting; how and what to recycling in Aurora; how to garden with chronic pain and the benefits of yoga; and organic lawn care tips that really work.
