The Region of York is embarking on a study of the transportation issues along a major roadway in Vaughan’s east end.

The study will examine current and future transportation needs for pedestrians, cyclists, transit users and motorists on Dufferin Street, from Teston Road to Hwy. 7.

It will also identify possible improvements to the traffic operations and investigate the overall impact on the social, cultural and natural environments.

Public consultation is a key part of the environmental assessment study.

To that end, the region is seeking resident and stakeholder input throughout the study.

Information about open houses and other community events will be posted on the Dufferin Street Environmental Assessment at york.ca
