The 18th Annual Shining Through Centre Gala took place on March 3rd at the Embassy Grand Convention Centre at 8800 The Gore Road in Brampton for a tremendous night for a great cause. “The Shining Through Centre for Children with Autism, is a non-for-profit charitable organization and is a recognized leader in the field of Autism providing intensive, comprehensive and individualized therapeutic educational programs. The mission of Shining Through Centre is to enhance the lives of all those affected by autism.

Most importantly, they believe that every child affected by autism deserves a clear and impactful opportunity to learn the social, emotional, cognitive, and logistical skills required to lead a fulfilling and self-assured life. The Centre is a shining example of how the work and support of many can go a long way in making the world an easier place to learn in, live in, and play in for children with autism.” Those were words from one of the Board Members and Secretary of the Shining Through Centre, Joe Tirozzo who helped organize this great event. The night saw a dinner, silent and live auctions take place and there was a special guest appearance by Maple Leafs legend Doug Gilmour who signed jerseys, which were later auctioned off. All proceeds from the night will go towards the Shining Through Centre for Autism. Another great gala in the books!
