The Design Review Panel will consider the following items at its meeting Thursday, March 30 at 9:15 a.m. in Committee Room 243, City Hall.

PRESENTATIONS

9:30 a.m.

Islington High-Rises - The panel will undertake its first review of Islington Steeles Ventures’ proposal to redevelop the former Riverview Golf Club. The 12.7 ha site is adjacent to the Humber River, near the intersection of Steeles Avenue West and Islington Avenue. Ventures proposes to build four high-rise residential condominium towers with at grade commercial/retail space and 188 stacked townhouse units on the northwest corner of the site. Presentations will be made by City of Vaughan urban designer Audrey Farias, RN Design founder Rob Nicolucci and NAK Design Strategies associate Paul Di Profio.

10:55 a.m.

Phase 2 Indigo Condominiums - The panel will undertake its second review of York Major Holdings’ phase 2 of Indigo condominiums (GO.2), a mid-rise, mixeduse residential and retail development proposed for the north side of Eagle Rock Way within the McNaughton Community in the Maple GO Station Secondary Plan Area. Two mid-rise residential condominiums -11 and 13 storeys tall–are proposed with five townhouses and at-grade retail uses. Presentations will be made by City of Vaughan urban designer Shahrzad Davoudi-Strike, Quadrangle Architects principal Les Klein and KLM Planning partner Ryan Mino-Leahan.
