Barrie chief administrative officer Carla Ladd is retiring after 40 years in the public service. Ladd joined Barrie in 2012 after seven years as City of Kitchener CAO. Ladd intends to retire at the end of June, pending the hiring of a new CAO.

Barbara McEwan has been appointed Vaughan city clerk, effective February 24. McEwan presently serves as Vaughan’s deputy clerk. She replaces Jeffrey Abrams, who is retiring after nine years with the city.
