Vaughan to host Chinese New Year celebration at city hall

The City of Vaughan is ringing in the Year of the Rooster with a special Chinese New Year celebration later this month, and you’re invited to join in the fun.
The New Year's festivities - including cultural performances, activities, refreshments and more - take place on Sunday, Jan. 22, from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., in the multi-purpose room at city hall, 2141 Major Mackenzie Dr.
An official welcome from Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua and members of council is scheduled to take place starting at 3 p.m.
The Year of the Rooster actually starts on Saturday, Jan. 28, and ends on Thursday, Feb 15, 2018.
