City Of Vaughan Christmas Tree Lighting

Christmas is a time when family and friends gather together to celebrate new and old traditions. From cookie making and gift giving, to tree decorating and more, there are countless activities and festivities for all ages to enjoy during the holiday season.

For the City of Vaughan, the community gets together each year to light up a 35-foot-tall Christmas tree at Vaughan City Hall. What’s a merrier way to start the holiday season than watching 15,000 twinkling Christmas lights turn on before your eyes?

The community joined Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua and Members of Council on Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. as City Hall’s Christmas tree came to life. There was festive music, holiday goodies and more. Santa also paid a visit and brought holiday cheer and took photos with the families.

Guests also brought a new, unwrapped toy for children in need in support of the CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish. The program benefits hundreds of thousands of people through toy and financial support.
