If you have ideas about how to improve child care in Ontario, the provincial government wants to hear from you.

To that end, Liberal MPP Indira Naidoo-Harris, minister responsible for early years and child care, is hosting a public engagement session at Vellore Village Community Centre, 1 Villa Royale Ave., in Woodbridge on Tuesday, Jan. 31 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The meeting is being held to discuss the government’s five-year plan to create 100,000 new child care spaces and its broader plan “to help working families find quality, affordable care.”

Expectant parents as well as parents and guardians of children under 12 are encouraged to attend.

Light refreshments will be served and free child care is available on site.

If you can’t make the meeting but still want to share your thoughts, the province is conducting an online survey until Jan. 31 at ontario.ca/morechildcare.
